The tail was an off cut from an other sculpture and the inspiration for making this sculpture. His legs are 1930s stair carpet holders.
Cat made out of broom handles and scrap wood. The tail is made from an antique stair carpet holder.
Clifton Art Society Annual Exhibition 2021
Brown cat is made from off cuts. Also curtain rings and beads, dowel and floor boards.
size: 38 x 25
Exhibited at the David Simon Contemporary Gallery.
Made from dowling, and off cuts of other works.
THIS cat's wings were the starting point, they are antique piano pedals. The rest of the cat is made from oak floorboards and dowel.
Inspired by the French corking machine that forms the head. I think it's made from pear wood and I bought it in a brocante in France.
The piece is 46 x 43 x 20 cm and weights about 1.2 kg
Other elements are: curtain rod ends, dowels and oak floorboard.
Various found objects and offcuts.
It's not that I like cats so much, but they just come out of the wood. I do prefer dogs.
